"Durham's vibrancy and our incredible quality of life are driven by our creative community of cultural institutions, museums, libraries, cultural workers, artists, and audiences. This plan will help us ensure that the cultural sector has the support it needs to remain central to who we are as a community.”
'Major Wrapped' - Michael Waller, Leah Foushee, & Crochet Bandits
Meet the Cultural Roadmap Planning Group
The Cultural Roadmap Planning Group, a group of residents and cultural leaders, will review and advise on engagement, priorities and plan development. Appointed by the Durham Cultural Advisory Board through an open call process in late 2022, the Cultural Roadmap Planning Group represents independent artists, cultural organizations, public and private sector, education, philanthropy, cultural workers, recreation, neighborhoods, youth and other creatives. All members of the group live and/or work in Durham.
The Planning Group meets monthly with AMS Planning & Research, and City and County staff on the last Thursday of the month. These meetings will be a mix of virtual and in person. Please contact dcab@durhamnc.gov If you wish to observe a meeting.
